During his four years at the helm, Hector Botero was responsible for creating and implementing strategic development plans for Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. During that time, Hector Botero negotiated operational agreements with the government of China and registered a Shanghai-based representative office on behalf of IMS.

Before turning his attention to China, Hector Botero led Business Wire Latin America. He served as president of the firm from 1997 to 2007.
